Few brands have a history as proud and passionate as MG. Since 1924, MG has been making cars people love to drive.
Many timeless beauties have been produced at MG and with that, we continue to embrace the 98 years of classic British design and combine it with our most advanced global technology in every model we produce.
The British style of MG can still be seen today in our present lineup; from the London Eye headlights all the way through to the European interior styling.
At MG, we are renowned for our Motorsport DNA that is still sealed to the designs of our new vehicles such as the classic MGB to the notable Cyberster.
The history of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited (SAIC Motor) can be traced back to the development of the global automotive industry and to the beginning of auto part industry in Shanghai. Based in Shanghai, China it now stands as the largest auto company on China’s A-share market (Stock Code: 600104).
‘Despite MG being a relatively new brand that has only entered the Middle East market back in 2015, it has been remarkable for me to witness its growth over the years.
Today the brand has a solid 4.7% market share and aiming for over 5% in 2022.
The Middle East continues to be an important market for MG and for SAIC Motor. We are competing with the biggest automotive brands. Our promise is to work closely with our distributors to further build the brand image and increase awareness of our model line-up. Network development is a major area of our focus. We will continue to expand to new markets and bring world-class facilities closer to our customers.
I am confident that the new MG models that we will be bringing to the region will not only satisfy the demands of our customers but will also help us elevate our current lineup even further.
